Ann;

Me and my wife, Donna, offer our condolences. Both you and John were very helpful when I was unsure about which guitar to purchase. Thank you.

It is easy to play the steel guitar. Playing so that the audience finds it pleasing is the difficult act.

I've had the priviledge of knowing John Fabian since he lived here (Tulsa, OK area ) back in the early 70's and even back then he was an avid steel guitar promoter. Full of ideas and always ready to talk shop "steel guitar". After having built one of the first Carters, he brought it to my house showed it to me and later on a friend of mine bought one of the very early models. I've had 2 and currently own a 12 string that once was owned by Jr. Knight.
My deepest sympathies to Ann and the Fabian family.

i have read and re-read these posts but still can not believe it. The world of steel guitar has suddenly become so much the poorer.

Ann, I send you my sincerest condolences. Much becomes clear.

Every time I drink from those Waterford crystal glasses I will think of you and John.

I met John at his shop expecting to upgrade my 2002 S10 Carter with a new one. He played mine & said he would sell me one, but mine was just as good. He replaced a return spring for free. I left being very touched by his honesty & kindness. May the good Lord be with you Ann.
