Buddy & Willie At Tootsie's

Post by Chris Templeton »

Buddy told me story that he was sitting in a booth at Tootsie's with Willie, and a guy sits down next to Buddy. Buddy thinks Willie knows the guy and Willie thinks Buddy does. The guy keeps pushing Buddy over towards the wall and Buddy finally says, "Are you sure you're where you're want to be?".
After the guy leaves, Willie says to Buddy, "that would be a good song title and I'll give you half".

Hi Chris

If I remember correctly, when the record/song initially came out, only Willie was listed as the writer.
Willie had that corrected so that Buddy's name was also included.....entitling BE to songwriter royalties.
