Roland VL2 volume pedal

Post by Jeff Highland »

Anyone had one of these?
I have one from a client in for repair. I fixed the broken wires and adjusted it but it is very abrupt.
The main pot is a 50k but does not look original.
Any idea what would have been the original value? Google has not helped.

First hit on Google for me:

The potentiometer (pot) for a Roland VL2 volume pedal is a specialized part, likely with a 10 kΩ nominal resistance and a mechanical wiper that needs to be correctly aligned with the pedal's movement. Replacing it requires mechanical and soldering skills and may involve recalibrating the new pot by manually adjusting its shaft to match the pedal's throw.

Intended for keyboard use rather than guitar?

It’s probably like a synth expression pedal
